
About Matt Culhane
I bring over 25 years of experience as a Human Resources Leader at McKinsey & Company, American Express, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, and Haleon Consumer Health. My work has centered on talent management, strategic workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
I also have deep expertise in Change Management and Transformation, having successfully guided organizations through major joint ventures, divestments, and demergers. My career has been global in scope—I’ve worked and traveled extensively around the world, including living and working in Switzerland from 2014 to 2016.
Throughout my journey, I’ve coached and mentored numerous executives and helped strengthen cross-functional leadership teams. I’m recognized for my thought leadership, authenticity, candor, optimism, and servant-based leadership—qualities that support my personal purpose: helping teams and individuals grow, develop, and perform at their best.
I am an LCOP-certified coach, available to support executives in development, career growth, and career transitions.
In addition, I collaborate with Guttman Development Strategies (GDS), where we specialize in organizational development and leadership training. At GDS, we focus on transforming traditional hierarchies to build aligned, agile, high-performance teams that drive faster decision-making, stronger collaboration, and exceptional results.
